Testimonials For Allegany Mountain Trail Saddles
I want to tell all what a great saddle I have just purchased from you. Staci, you were so patient with all of my questions......you realized that a saddle purchase is such a big deal with many riders......actually, the purchase of a lifetimefor those of us who have been riding "hand me down" saddles for most of our life. You always made me feel like each of my questions was as important to you as it was to me.
At our farm, I board a small TWH mare, ride my own 30 year old larger TWH, and most often ride my "work in progress" big TWH palomino mare. The cascade wade that I purchased fits all of them perfectly. I am an older woman with VERY long legs and the special stirrup leathers and fenders that your company built for me work just great. This saddle is very stable on each horse, and even with a looser cinch, the saddle stays in place for mounting as well as trail riding. The palomino mare doesn't put up with discomfort very well, and this saddle fits her like a dream. I have the LT tree and it really fits these TWHs.
Last but not least is the quality and appearance of the wade saddle. I know they say "you can't just ride pretty" but this saddle is really "pretty". The leather and quality of the craftsmanship is wonderful. Just because I trail ride, I don't want a
homely saddle or one that is not quality. My new AMTS is beautiful and it fit me and my horses the very first time I saddled
up. My old worn out knees finally found a saddle that allows me to walk normally after I dismount. This saddle sets me in
the exact right place for security and comfort.
Thank you so much Staci, for a great saddle shopping and buying experience.

Stacy did a great job of making sure that our new Renegade Endurance saddle fit my horse AND me. He's a slab sided Walker & is a challenge to fit. Then, add to that, the difficulty of the fact that I came from the hunter-jumper world & was looking for comfort & security; I can't believe that she was even willing to try to create a saddle for us!We ran into obstacles & issues but she worked her way through them & made the most beautiful saddle for the two of us that you could imagine. Additionally, she designed a breast collar according to my wishes & then created reins to match my bitless bridle & other tack. We are now turned out in the most fancy way but the no one would ever guess how affordable our gear is!
I couldn't be more pleased with Stacy's "stick to-it-iveness" & how it brought about the most unbelievable results. Somehow, she made a western trail saddle that brings joy & comfort to this English rider & my trail expert; the Tenessee Walker.
Thank you Stacy! I know that my horse & I will enjoy HOURS & MILES of trails together in comfort because of your help.

I am a leathercrafter & have built four saddles. Didn't much like any of them. They would fit me but not the horse. Or they'd fit the horse but not me. A friend told me about Allegany Mountain Trail Saddles & the personalized fitting. I'm am so thankful I checked into it. I love my Allegany saddle. It's just everything I could ask for; light, beautifully made, made for the trail with lots of rings, ties and extras, has the narrow twist, flat (balanced) seat and bulk-less rigging I wanted and it fits my horse. What really impressed me is that the third time I rode it I won an ACTHA trail trial on it--no need to "break it in"--it was perfect just like it was. The only negative is that now I want a second Allegany Mountain Trail Saddle to use for showing . . . but I guess that's a positive any way you look at it! Thanks, Staci, for making my golden years so comfortable!

I ordered a Renegade Endurance saddle custom fitted to my horse because I had had previous trouble fitting my former horse and I wanted to make sure this saddle fit my new horse. Staci was wonderful to work with and when I got my saddle I was thrilled at how beautiful it was - and even more thrilled that it fit my horse so well. The leather is beautiful and soft. I ordered a bridle to match recently. Again, it was beautiful and well made. I trail ride and a comfortable saddle is a must and I have found this saddle to be very comfortable. Love the hardware and all of the ties. Thanks so much!!

Dear John and AMTS,I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how happy Sprite and I are with our AMTS Endurance saddle. We've been using it for almost 2 years now, and the fit is fantastic. Sprite had some minor fit challenges, and the extra effort you, Little Eli, and Ed Steele took in making sure this saddle would work has been greatly appreciated. From the tree form fittings - and the slight 'tweak' you and Ed came up with - to the excellent craftsmanship of Little Eli, this saddle has just been an amazing value. It felt broken in practically from the first time I rode in it.

I guess I was a 'minor fit challenge' as well. When I had the issue with the fender leathers (near the Blevins buckles) rubbing against the cinch ring after a year, you and Eli fixed it with no question. Not your fault at all - just my short legs and the way I had to adjust my stirrups. The leather sleeves Eli concocted are working out great. I didn't hesitate to get in touch with you about that, because you made it clear that if I ran into any problems I could call you. Your company stands behind it's products.
I love sending people your way because I trust you'll treat them, and their horses, with the same individualized care that you did Sprite and myself. We're always receiving compliments and questions about our saddle. Last spring at a Liz Graves' clinic, it was used as an example of GOOD FIT (and good value)! It's especially nice that you're familiar with the fitting needs of gaited horses - knowing that EVERY horse needs a well-balanced saddle with the correct flare, tree, etc. - but that most gaited horses do best with a rounded skirt vs. a longer square one. I also appreciate that my saddle doesn't pop me into the dreaded 'chair seat', but does all it can to keep me balanced.
Attached are a few photos of Sprite with his AMTS. Someday I hope to get the Plantation model, too...
Sincerely,
Jill Davis & "Woodwind Sprite"

I rode River for the first time tonight in the AMTS Cascade Wade. She has plenty of room to move out under it. She did wonderful. The saddle feels perfect to me too. I'm thrilled. I really feel like I'm in some sort of dream! The fit forms make it real easy!! It was a real eye opener. I won't buy another saddle without having a way to eyeball the fit before I buy.

Everywhere we go people ask, "What kind of saddle is that?". They notice the good looks and quality right away. Then we let them test ride and they're totally impressed with the comfort! Then we explain how AMTS will customize the tree for their horse, the seat for their own backside and give the saddle a custom look. We are constantly directing people to your site.AMTS, You've got a great thing going here!

It's here and it's GORGEOUS!!!!! I can hardly wait for you to see it! Everything is just as I ordered and the craftsmanship is amazing. I tried it on Hope today, without a pad, and just walked her around. The saddle didn't slip at all... not even when I pulled on the stirrup and almost toppled her over. It also fits amazingly well in relation to her shoulder... no interference whatsoever. It felt slightly snug on the front sides, but not enough so I couldn't run my hand under the saddle. I can also see daylight from the rear cantle to the front so I know the tree isn't hitting her back. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased. I can hardly wait to take her on a ride with it...
Thank you so much for all of your help and time. The wait was well worth it for me.
Best always,
Avery

For the past 2 months I have been working with John to get a saddle that will fit one of my very narrow TWH's. I got the saddle in the other day and had a chance to ride it for a bit last night. VERY WELL MADE, VERY COMFORTABLE. and it FITS the horse well. It also fits another one of my horses but I have to use a thinner pad. John is currently building me another saddle that is wider for one of my other horses. If I remember correctly he is building these on Steele's Gaited flex tree. You can see what fine craftsmanship goes into these saddles.John is very easy to work with and I have enjoyed my experience with him. We had a hard time coming up with the right dimensions as my horses are are all fairly narrow, But credit goes out to John for his perseverance in making sure his customer gets what they need. Thanks John
