Dear Staci,

Now that I am a customer and not an owner , I feel compelled to
send you my thoughts. About seven yrs ago I started AMTS. I had
visions of what I wanted it to become. When we talked a little
over a year ago about you "taking the reins", I new that u were the perfect fit to continue what I had started. I had no idea you would take it to the level it has grown too.

In a little less than a year you have fine tuned AMTS. Your
horsemanship skills and knowledge has shown. Your enthusiasm and
customer relations skills shine . I have enjoyed following it all on
Facebook which I would have never thought of at all. Keep up the
fantastic work!

Now to my saddle. Most everyone knows I am a die hard gaited horse
guy. When I retired I gave you my order as to what I wanted in my
retirement saddle, all I gave you was the tree configurations and
some basics. Then I told u to surprise me .....well u did . It is
flawless....to say the least. Every time I pic it up to put on my
horse I am so proud. You have taken a excellent saddle and made it a
SUPERIOR saddle.

Can you be in love with a saddle?? Oh, why YES YOU CAN! After researching saddles (4 months!) I finally came across trailridingsaddles.com and was convinced. After looking at the different models I chose the Cascade Wade saddle. Picked out the leather colors, tooling, strings, wraps, amount of skirting, etc... even got the extra back girth with more latigo strings and hoof pick holders. Staci is a doll to work with (and very patient, even if you're extremely fussy and keep changing your mind on colors and suede versus smooth seats!)

I love everything about my new saddle, and the best part is knowing that it fits my horse. Prior to building, Staci sent out the Steele fit-to-be-seen forms for me to try on him. This only made me feel more comfortable knowing the saddle wouldn't just be aesthetically pleasing for me, but perfect for my horse's back. How could all horses either be FQHB or SQHB? Having the forms sent out to FIT your horse only makes sense!! The seat is extremely comfortable and secure feeling—yes, even without the suede seat I feel very secure-at every pace. My new Cascade Wade is a hit at the barn, it’s a miracle if I can get it on him and through the gates without being stopped by everyone in sight! But I won’t lie, I like talking about it, how it was custom made for me and my horse, who made it, what kind of leather it is, the Fit-to-be-seen forms and Staci (of course!).

To anyone wondering if this is the way to go or the saddle to buy, believe me, it is!! I’m riding in my dream saddle!! Thank you so very much Staci and Allegany Mountain Trail Saddle team!!

I am a Saddle fitter in the North Eastern USA, and have been fitting horses using the Fit-Form method for Steele Saddle Tree LLC. I have been closely connected with Allegany Mountain Trail Saddles (AMTS) for several Years.

I specifically like working directly with Staci ( Whom I've met in person ) to directly act as the liaison between the bare tree and the finished saddle for my clients.

I and my clients have been 100% satisfied with this process, and the end product, and would recommend using Staci and AMTS for beautiful custom saddles at an affordable price!!

Hello Staci,

Now that the Colorado weather has finally cooperated for several days in a row, and I have been able to put some miles on my new trail saddle, I can tell you that my horse absolutely LOVES it. As you know, he is very hard to fit...extremely wide across the shoulders and a short flat back. This saddle fits him like a dream. I know this for sure because he's the kind of guy that bucks if anything isn't perfect. And, not once has he even pinned his ears back. So I know.

I had only ever ridden in an English saddle, and I am finding this Western saddle to be extremely comfortable and very secure. What I really love, is that I still have contact with my horse, and my legs are lined up with my hips and heels, and there is no bulk from the rigging under my thighs. I am very happy with the position in which the saddle puts me when I am riding.

I am so grateful to you for the time you took throughout this process to educate me, to listen to me, and to offer your valuable suggestions and insights. You are an amazingly patient lady.

My saddle not only fits my horse, and me perfectly, but the quality of the workmanship is impeccable. Your meticulous attention to every little detail is obvious, and so appreciated.

I will definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a high quality saddle at an affordable price, and fabulous customer service to go along with it.

I want to tell all what a great saddle I have just purchased from you. Staci, you were so patient with all of my questions......you realized that a saddle purchase is such a big deal with many riders......actually, the purchase of a lifetime
for those of us who have been riding "hand me down" saddles for most of our life. You always made me feel like each of my questions was as important to you as it was to me.
At our farm, I board a small TWH mare, ride my own 30 year old larger TWH, and most often ride my "work in progress" big TWH palomino mare. The cascade wade that I purchased fits all of them perfectly. I am an older woman with VERY long legs and the special stirrup leathers and fenders that your company built for me work just great. This saddle is very stable on each horse, and even with a looser cinch, the saddle stays in place for mounting as well as trail riding. The palomino mare doesn't put up with discomfort very well, and this saddle fits her like a dream. I have the LT tree and it really fits these TWHs.
Last but not least is the quality and appearance of the wade saddle. I know they say "you can't just ride pretty" but this saddle is really "pretty". The leather and quality of the craftsmanship is wonderful. Just because I trail ride, I don't want a
homely saddle or one that is not quality. My new AMTS is beautiful and it fit me and my horses the very first time I saddled
up. My old worn out knees finally found a saddle that allows me to walk normally after I dismount. This saddle sets me in
the exact right place for security and comfort.

Stacy did a great job of making sure that our new Renegade Endurance saddle fit my horse AND me. He's a slab sided Walker & is a challenge to fit. Then, add to that, the difficulty of the fact that I came from the hunter-jumper world & was looking for comfort & security; I can't believe that she was even willing to try to create a saddle for us!
We ran into obstacles & issues but she worked her way through them & made the most beautiful saddle for the two of us that you could imagine. Additionally, she designed a breast collar according to my wishes & then created reins to match my bitless bridle & other tack. We are now turned out in the most fancy way but the no one would ever guess how affordable our gear is!
I couldn't be more pleased with Stacy's "stick to-it-iveness" & how it brought about the most unbelievable results. Somehow, she made a western trail saddle that brings joy & comfort to this English rider & my trail expert; the Tenessee Walker.
Thank you Stacy! I know that my horse & I will enjoy HOURS & MILES of trails together in comfort because of your help.

I am a leathercrafter & have built four saddles. Didn't much like any of them. They would fit me but not the horse. Or they'd fit the horse but not me. A friend told me about Allegany Mountain Trail Saddles & the personalized fitting. I'm am so thankful I checked into it. I love my Allegany saddle. It's just everything I could ask for; light, beautifully made, made for the trail with lots of rings, ties and extras, has the narrow twist, flat (balanced) seat and bulk-less rigging I wanted and it fits my horse. What really impressed me is that the third time I rode it I won an ACTHA trail trial on it--no need to "break it in"--it was perfect just like it was. The only negative is that now I want a second Allegany Mountain Trail Saddle to use for showing . . . but I guess that's a positive any way you look at it! Thanks, Staci, for making my golden years so comfortable!

I ordered a Renegade Endurance saddle custom fitted to my horse because I had had previous trouble fitting my former horse and I wanted to make sure this saddle fit my new horse. Staci was wonderful to work with and when I got my saddle I was thrilled at how beautiful it was - and even more thrilled that it fit my horse so well. The leather is beautiful and soft. I ordered a bridle to match recently. Again, it was beautiful and well made. I trail ride and a comfortable saddle is a must and I have found this saddle to be very comfortable. Love the hardware and all of the ties. Thanks so much!!
